C-Motion Academy

Where driver feel meets data.

Drive. Understand. Improve.

What you feel in the car, what you observe and what your iRacing data shows all inform our work. We use them to choose an exercise that fits what you want to understand.

01 · Compare the offers

Your next training step.

Do you have a specific question about your driving, or want to work on it over several weeks? Here is what each offer includes.

Before you buy: the current core process uses iRacing, Discord and Garage61. Please check with me before buying if you use another simulator or an unusual vehicle class. The Sprint typically involves two focused practice blocks and two to four hours of independent work each week.

02 · Who you work with

Your coach

I’m Chris Steiner, a certified automotive master technician, project manager and sim racer. I want to understand how driving feels to you and what you would like to learn. I explain the technology behind it and shape our work around your question.

Prepared in the sim. Put into practice in the X-Bow.

In June 2024, I had my first track-driving experience in a KTM X-Bow at the Red Bull Ring. I had prepared in the simulator. Braking into the corner felt familiar; in the real car, I could also feel the G-forces, the rotation and the compression in the final corner. That is my own experience, rather than a promise that sim practice transfers directly to every car.

My iRating development since 2023

iRating development since 2023: starting at 1,350, reaching 3,004 after 197 days; an increase of 1,013 in 30 days in 2024; latest recorded value 4,422.

From the entry level through development above 4,000 iRating, I know different stages of driver development from my own experience.

The curve shows rating development, not total practice time. Alongside work, there were periods when I was able to drive very little.

Own data, clear limits

My Spa exercise: releasing the brake more smoothly.

An example from my own development in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 at Spa. It is not a client result or a general performance promise.

2:17.854 → 2:17.742

The first documented correction was −0.112 seconds. The bottleneck was not simply the braking point, but an abrupt release with ABS intervention and the resulting loss of speed towards the apex.

Exercise: release the brake progressively, calm the steering input and repeat without chasing the live delta.

What changed after practice?

Brake trace, ABS activity, minimum speed and exit speed are compared after each practice block.

Client cases are published only with a complete baseline, final review and separate permission. No invented ratings or personal bests stripped of context.

Quantitative data, subjective experience and actual practice effort are documented separately.

03 · After purchase

What happens next.

  1. Contract confirmation

After purchase, you receive your contract confirmation by email.

  2. Brief or appointment

For Quickscan, submit your brief; no live appointment is needed. For Diagnostic or Sprint, use the return page to request your Diagnostic appointment or Sprint kick-off. I confirm your appointment personally. The three Sprint follow-up sessions are arranged during the programme.

  3. Service start

Authorisation to start the service is separate. Starting during the statutory withdrawal period requires the necessary separate declarations.

A page visit, session ID or appointment request is not proof of payment and does not authorise the service to start.

04 · How we work

Understand, practise and review.

We work on your specific question. Each offer explains how much analysis, live coaching and review it includes.

  1. Understand

You tell me what you notice. I look at your data and the possible explanation we can investigate.

  2. Practise deliberately

A small number of exercises with clear checks help you change the driving pattern in your own practice.

  3. Review

We then look at what you can repeat, what feels different in the car and what the data shows. If needed, we adjust the exercise.

Investigate possible causes.

Analysis and exercises in detail

You describe what you feel as you brake, turn in and accelerate. Telemetry and, for offers with a live session, my observation connect brake pressure, release, steering, line and throttle with rotation, minimum speed and exit speed.

A possible explanation becomes a manageable exercise. I often use the outside replay view to explain visible vehicle movement alongside your inputs and what you feel. The replay itself does not measure wheel loads or grip. My own reference driving can help test technical changes and tasks in advance. We repeat the exercise and later check its application in traffic or under pressure.

Review progress.

What we consider beyond a personal best
  • Inputs: brake pressure, release, steering angle and throttle application.
  • Consistency: lap-time spread, error rate, offtracks and pace through a stint.
  • Racecraft: contacts, accepted battles, risk and recovery.
  • Pressure: focus, resetting after errors and perceived workload.
  • Racing experience: participation, motivation and your own experience of the racing.
  • Independence: name an error, check its cause and choose useful exercises.

05 · Individual support

Private Driver Programme

Long-term driver development with an individually agreed scope. The proposal, duration and working arrangement depend on your baseline, target, practice time and mutual fit.

Competition focuses on a defined competitive target and remains a limited pilot with a personal fit review. Enquire about Competition →. Private Programmes have their own entry path through application, diagnosis and an entry phase.

Individual · on request

Clear admission, rather than instant checkout.

  1. Application covering targets, time, equipment and expectations.
  2. A paid Performance Diagnostic or equivalent assessment.
  3. A defined 90-day entry phase.
  4. A formal review and mutual continuation decision.
Enquire about a Private Programme →

The work continues between sessions.

Reliable communication, representative data and regular independent practice are part of the collaboration. Progress does not happen only during live appointments.

Foundation is the existing entry path. Complete is only a possible continuation after a Foundation review, with available capacity and a new individual proposal.

No automatic renewal. An application or diagnosis does not create an entitlement to admission.

Your next step

Choose the right starting point.

Each offer sets out what is included and the total price. Quickscan, Performance Diagnostic and Sprint are available to purchase directly through Stripe. Competition and Private Programmes are agreed individually.

Unsure which option fits? Ask me before you buy.

If you do not have a mail client set up, use the existing enquiry form. Asking is optional; you can buy the three standard offers directly.

06 · Common questions

What else you need to know.

Are sessions recorded?

Only after prior information and consent. Public use of your name, image, voice or performance data requires a separate explicit agreement.

Is an enquiry already a contract?

No. Questions and enquiries for Competition or Private Programmes remain non-binding. Quickscan, Diagnostic and Sprint are bought directly through Stripe. The contract confirmation documents your purchase; appointments and the service start are confirmed separately. The existing Coaching Terms apply; any early start requires the necessary separate declarations.
